As part of Maths Week Senior Infants to Sixth Class all designed maths activities for the class below them. The children really rose to the challenge and created wonderful games covering various strands of the Maths curriculum.
Senior Infants decided to do a Halloween themed matching game with Junior Infants. As well as a sorting activity this turned out to be a great vocabulary builder!
First Class created a 2D Shapes Relay Race for Senior Infants. This also had a Halloween theme as they had to make a witch and a witch's cat with their groups.
Second Class had two great games for First Class. In the first game they had to get the correct ingredients for a witch's potion into a cauldron and for the second one they had to complete a hundred square jig-saw. Second class were excellent teachers for these tasks!
Third Class to Sixth created a variety of games for the classes below them. Some of the classes set up work stations that the younger children had to move between.
