Limerick East 11-a-side Hurling Final

By Johnny Kelly & Jack Stockil

We arrived at the Gaelic Grounds and did a quick warm-up. We were due to play Tineteriffe at 11.45. We were all very nervous. We had already played Tineteriffe in the group stages and had been beaten by a point. Today we were determined that it would be a different outcome. In the first half we had 4 frees which were converted by Colin Hackett. They had four frees also but failed to score. At half time the score was 0-04 to 0-00. In the second half we got 2 more points from frees and they scored 1-03. Unfortunately the referee got mixed up and said we only scored 5 points so Tineteriffe won. We were all very disappointed. Congratulations to Colin Hackett though who got Primary Game after the match.
