Grassroots Day

Last Thursday we took a trip to Seanchoill soccer pitch in Corbally. The girls were broken into two groups.

Team 1: Stephanie, Kathrynn, Mikayla, Alanna, Kate, Millie, Breda, Ellen

Team 2: Leanne, Chloe, Hollie, Aoibhe, Roisín K, Roisín C, Laurie, Sarah

Team 2 were very lucky and made it to the final but were beaten in extra time. Killinure Team 1 lost three matches and won two. The scores of the matches we won were 5-0 and 1-0. I scored all six goals. The girls were very good and were unlucky not to make it to the final. All in all it was a very enjoyable day.

 

Grassroots Day

On the 4th of June Grassroots Soccer took place in Corbally. There was two teams Killinure 1 and Killinure 2. Team 2 was very lucky and got to the final but we lost by one goal. The score was 1-0. We played against an Irish school. Team 2 didn't get to the final but they still played great. Team 2 got medals. The coach for Team 1 was Miss McKeogh and the coach for Team 2 was Mrs. Power. The captain for Team 1 was Alanna Keane and the captain for Team 2 was Roisín Crowe. All matches were played on astroturf. Only 5th and 6th class were allowed to go. Everybody enjoyed the day out and had lots of fun!
