Science Week 2017- Ice Lolly Experiment

Junior Infants wrapped cola ice lollies in different materials. They made predictions and observed which lollies melted fastest. One lolly was unwrapped, the others were wrapped in tinfoil, kitchen paper, cling film and cotton wool. Well done to Sam for correctly predicting that the ice lolly wrapped in cotton wool would last the longest!!

 Kitchen Roll- Start of Experiment

Kitchen Roll- 2nd best result

Tinfoil- 3rd best result

No Wrapper- melted fastest as the had children predicted

Cling film- poor result, melted 2nd fastest

Cotton Wool prevented the ice-lolly from melting for over 40 minutes!!
