Euro 2016 Soccer Tournament

The children were encouraged to wear their country colours at school today. Each child brought in
€1 to raise money for new soccer balls for the school. Sixth class organised a soccer tournament for all of the younger children. They divided the children into groups, each team took on the name of a country taking part in The Euros this year. The children organised, timed and refereed each match themselves. They even decorated the astro-turf with the Irish colours for the special occasion! Everyone had a wonderful day. To top it all off  local pilot Gerry Humphreys flew over the school and performed some air acrobatics for everyone.
